Event Details

Join the Wareham Land Trust on National Writing Day for a morning of creative writing at the Red Brook Trail Network. The National Writing Project's "Write-Out" invites everyone to notice their places, write outside, and connect with community. This years theme for Write Out "Write Where We Stand" centers writing in the places that shape and sustain us. Anyone is welcome, you don't need to be a writer or a poet to participate. Prompts will be provided or participants can draw inspiration from their own ideas, take field notes, or even make sketches. The land trust will provide pens, colored pencils, a writing surface, and paper to participants who need them, but participants are encouraged to bring their own notebook or paper, favorite writing implements, and a chair for comfort. At the end of the event participants may gather together to share their work if they'd like.
